Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady

Stay weather ready with the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady.

The backbone of Goodyear's entire line of all-season tires, the Assurance WeatherReady is a capable and long-wearing tire out to prove that value and performance don't have to be mutually exclusive features when you're shopping for new tires. In fact, this Goodyear Assurance doubles down on its claims to reliability while combining a host of cutting-edge technologies straight from Goodyear's own design labs.

Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady Features

Backed by decades of experience, Goodyear has struck gold with the Assurance WeatherReady.

Offering confidence as a true all-weather tire built to handle the frigid roads of winter and the slippery surfaces of spring rain, the Goodyear WeatherReady benefits from a mixed heritage of performance, ride comfort and fuel economy features over the years of Goodyear's development on its Assurance line of all-season, touring and low-rolling resistance tires.

Performance features of the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady include:

    - Its 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Rating (exceeding the Rubber Manufacturer Association's requirements for traction in severe snow and winter weather) helps it maintain grip in winter driving conditions.

    - A Soybean oil infused rubber compound generates extra pliability and traction on ice and snow.

    - Asymmetric tread pattern design and intricately inlaid grooves provide continuous traction over wet surfaces.

    - Evolving Traction Grooves transform from deep to wide channels as the WeatherReady wears, giving it lasting hydrophobic driving characteristics.

But what's the best part of the Assurance WeatherReady?

Goodyear created its proprietary Weather Reactive Technology by combining its Tredlock Technology and Evolving Traction Grooves, giving all WeatherReady tires the ability to solidify under cornering for a more direct steering feel and comfortable ride quality. But when it's wet out, the tire tread opens up to increase the biting force of its intricate network of sipes.

Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady Treadwear and Warranty

With such a strong frame of reference from its existing Assurance tires, the Goodyear WeatherReady is supported by a 60,000-mile warranty from Goodyear across its range of sizes.

But if you want the most robust protection for your set of Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady tires, Discount Tire's exclusive Certificates will cover them on down to 3/32" of wear.

(You can add our Certificate coverage in the cart of your order.)

For an all-season tire you can trust in the long run, the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady is here.

I mostly drive in the northwestern US, in places where it snows quite a bit, but my car had done badly in the snow since I bought it, even with winter tires equipped. After doing quite a bit of research, Assurance WeatherReady were the tires that I found that were best rated for snow and ice and that would fit on my car. They were a bit pricier than my other options, but I decided to spend the extra money and bought them just before winter hit. When the snow fell, I was quite hesitant to drive, but I decided to give these new tires a try. Long story short, they worked beautifully. There was still a bit of sliding, but the difference in stopping distance between these and my previous tires was huge. I felt much more confident driving these in the snow than I had ever felt in this car with any other tires. I'm not necessarily saying these are the perfect winter tires for any car, but I can certainly say that the security that I have felt from using Assurance WeatherReady tires in the winter was well worth the extra couple hundred bucks I ended up spending.

I only bought the tires under stress because I was going to the hospital the next day. I couldn’t expect my wife to drive the car with a nail in a tire. ( there’s more to this story than I have written )

For the most part, I have always felt that a tire is a tire. Not with these. I have recommended them to friends and will be getting a set for my RAV4 when it's time for new tires. What won me over was how well they held to the road on snow, when everyone around me was sliding all over the place.

These are on the vehicle we use for going up the mountain to ski, so they are frequently on ice and snow. I am very pleased with the ride as well as the handling. I highly recommend these tires for winter conditions.

A good all-weather tire with dependable traction in rain and snow. Road noise is not bad at all, comfort is good as well.
