Great tires for snow and ice. Did not have any trouble getting around this last winter, even when the snowplow stacked snow in front of my driveway.

We live at about 1000' elevation near the Columbia Gorge in Washington state so often it snows at our house, but, down in the valley below, where we shop, its wet. Mostly drive on rural 2 lane roads with occasional freeway driving (the "Type of driving" doesn't offer this as a selection - rural mountain roads"). Works great going up and down the mountains as we have excellent traction and don't have to put on/take off chains every time we go into the lowlands. Highly recommend them, but, they are a bit noisy (especially at freeway speeds) and will reduce yourmpg a bit. We added studs, which improved the traction, too. If you have a lot of mixed weather conditions to drive through in one day, and hills, these tires plus studs are perfect.
